Technical Support Specialist

Skills required
  • Proven record of creating and maintaining web-based application development and server-side eCommerce runtime environments (development and production).
  • Understanding of network design principals.
  • Understanding of data and transactional security design principals.
  • Understanding of server hardware configuration issues.
  • Understanding of eCommerce application design.
  • Working knowledge of communication protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with any of the following:
    • Network configuration and implementation.
    • Server OS configuration, implementation and administration with NT and Unix preferred.
    • TCP/IP.
    • Security.
  • Client configurations and installations.
  • Configuration of Notes and Mail Exchange services.

Duties
  • Provide environment support to Arkay's clients for issues ranging from network to client and server hardware/software configuration.
  • Support the design and sizing of projects by offering expertise in the design of the application's environment.
  • Publish technical guidelines for hardware and software solutions for internal Arkay staff.
  • Maintain Arkay's internal network, development environment.
